Chinoiserie

 Chinoiserie seems to be a trend I've been asked to design a lot this summer making an appearance in card making and homeware. August Issue 146 Cardmaking and Papercraft had a set of Chinoiserie influenced papers I designed which are available still to download here.





I designed a collection of oriental stamps for Cardmaking and Papercraft's June Issue 144. These were so popular they may be making an appearance in the future for sale. Watch this space for updates when they're released...

Weddings...

I just completed another set of hand made and personally designed wedding invitations for the happy couple Hannah and Brian, congratulations and have a lovely day both of you, hope all goes well.
Here is a sneak peak. They included a save the date card, and matching floral invites with a blue, cream and gold theme to match their flowers and bridesmaids etc. They all arrive from the printers as flat cards, and I have to set up a production line each time, sticking the pockets with PVA and a pin and adding little ribbon bows to each pocket. I then have to piece them all together in the correct order for day and evening invites....

Wedding Tea Party

I have recently been designing bespoke wedding invitations for one of my friends based on a 'tea party' theme, including her cats, tea pots, cups and saucers, and birds all entwined within vines in a border inspired by traditional blue and white china. It fits in a printed pocket with a subtle cat image on the reverse. Here is a sneak peak...
